I've seen a few people do this recently and I think it's a great idea. Good way to keep track of all the episodes I've seen while continuing to enable my (frightening levels of) obsession with all things Who related. The ones in italics are the ones I've seen or listened to and I'll keep adding on as I go:

So, I've been listening to the Eighth Doctor audios again and loving every second of them. Paul McGann is a friggin' genius. I'm talking Colin Baker levels of audio-Doctor genius here. Anyway, I'm listening to Terror Firma again right now and I've realized I don't remember much of this story at all! I don't know why, because it's crazy good, and it's got me thinking.

I told myself to wait until the date got closer, I really did. But I am weak when confronted with the opportunity to actually touch Frazer Hines. So, I bought my ticket for Jumpcon. I'm going to be there on Saturday, 8/2. And yes, I bought a ticket for the Frazer dinner. How could I not?

If anyone lives in the NY/NJ area and is planning to go to this con, let me know. I don't have any RL friends who care enough about DW to throw down a hundred bucks just to enable my obsessions.

Oh, and Van? I promise I will do my best not to end up in the back of a squad car with a restraining order against me. I wouldn't want to frighten him off of convention appearances. Fandom would kill me. ;-)

Oh, man. I am SO UNBELIEVABLY RELIEVED. It appears biichan was right all along. \o/

Yes, I made it back from China alive and had only one run-in with the police.* I'd say that makes it an EXTREMELY successful trip. ;-) I absolutely recommend China as a tourist destination. It's magnificently beautiful, the cities are SO modern and striking, the historical sites are breathtaking, the food is unbeatable, and the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite the language barrier (and even though the signs are in English, very few people outside the hotels speak much English) it turned out to be very easy to get around and manage with gestures and smiles. Plus, the dollar still gets you very far there, which is a fantastic change of pace.

Yo, everybody! I'm leaving for China this afternoon and will be gone for 2 weeks. I am almost too excited to live. \o/
